Kathryn and I feel so fortunate to have found Stoughton and made it our home. I have gotten more support than I could ever imagine from neighbors, the community and especially local businesses. Without that support I would not be living my dream!
There are a few businesses that I would especially like to thank. Not only have they given me support, they also have offered encouragement, opportunities, mentoring and friendship. These are just a few for now. I'm sure I will be adding more soon
Please visit their websites to see the great merchandise and services that they offer!
Without Grand Inspired, none of this would have been possible! Joanne has created a makerspace that has allowed me to grow and develop my craft using the best facility, equipment and knowledge of the staff. For beginners to master craftsman, Grand Inspired provides everything you will ever need to create your personal masterpiece!
Grand Inspired Mission
Our mission is to nurture the appreciation of things handmade. Whether as a member of our woodworking makerspace, a guest in the gallery or a participant in a class, knowing that something was made by hands that cared about the wood means something to you. Handmade means time and commitment to a process of imagination of design, selection of material, planning & problem solving, success & frustration, and finally a beautiful finished product.
Jessica and Emily have been my cheerleaders from the start! Two years ago I was terrified planning to do my first vendor event at the Chorus Public House! Would people like my work? How do I display my stuff? Would I sell ANYTHING? Will the organizers be mean to me?
Jess and Emily held my hand and told me everything will be all right. It was GREAT! The Holiday Shows have been a great success for me! My favorite time of the year.
Their hard work and dedication to the Community deserves a lot more recognition and thanks than they get. Visit the Community Farmers Market, Saturdays, May - October. Support our local farmers and vendors. Tell Jessica and Emily that Stoughton LOVES them!
Before even having a storefront, Sydne had a dream. She shared that dream on Facebook, and I was inspired to make her a sign to show my support. That was the very first "sign" I ever made. Little did I know that one year later, I would have made over 25 signs for local businesses! It's one of my favorite things to do!
Ink Cap is the perfect small town bookstore with room for browsing, unique items and a safe, welcoming place for EVERYONE! You can also pick up some EyeWoodwork designed bookmarks, key rings, ornaments and show your support hangings
Dr. Jamie was the first person to seek me out to make a sign. I was honored. On top of that, she insisted on paying me. I was confused. She beat it into my head that my work actually had value! What a concept! Up until then, I was happy to just give my work away. I still love giving my stuff away, but I realize that in order to continue supporting local businesses and non-profits there are some things I need to sell.
Aside from being one of my biggest supporters and muse, Dr. Jamie is my favorite dentist in the world! I never imagined looking forward to having my teeth being cared for. Honest! Ditch your current dentist and book an appointment at Dane Dental!
Formerly Grasshopper Goods, the newly opened Kismetic Studios is one of my favorite shops in Stoughton! Gigi, the new owner, has created a store filled with style, nostalgia, fun and happiness. My go to place for gifts!
Gigi's motto
We bring you a fun range of intentionally curated goods to inject joy into every day.
It's also a place where you might find something interesting pieces from EyeWoodwork!
